IBM doesn't officially support Linux, meaning no guarantee it will work, not destroy your files etc., and you cannot buy support (as a "normal" user, servers with linux will get official support)

Wishful thinking, i fear. For a non-programmer, it looks like SCO did produce hard evidence, and so their stock will rise, at least at first.

Yes, and they suppressed 90% of the population. And to win over Athens they have to build a fleet, for which they more or less sold out to the Persians. And so on.. Before trying to sound insightfull, learn some history.

An infinite amount of time, because Linux needs at least a i386 (MMU and all that).

  7. Re:Wired and the "NEW New Economy!" on Jobs to India -- A Broad Look · · Score: 1

    > Has Wired ever gotten the fundamental long-term trends correct?
Of course -- see, for the average Wired readers attention span, 5 minutes are a long time, so something lasting a year is a really long term, not too say an eternity.

  8. Re:Need more "current" and "pop" artists involved on Gabriel and Eno Start Digital Music Artist Union · · Score: 2, Funny

The union is for musical artists and not for whatever B. Spears is. But then this is just a bad example, too bad I can't think of any current pop musician which doesn't seem to be a complete product of the record industry. Perhaps a rap musician, but then I only know them from turning them off.
