IBM doesn't officially support Linux, meaning no guarantee it will work, not destroy your files etc., and you cannot buy support (as a "normal" user, servers with linux will get official support)

Wishful thinking, i fear. For a non-programmer,
it looks like SCO did produce hard evidence, and so their stock will rise, at least at first.

An infinite amount of time, because Linux needs at least a i386 (MMU and all that).
