Plus, spaghetti code is not fun, so hobbiest programmers arent going to waste their time with it.
I agree. I'm sure many microsoft programmers work only for a pay check and could care less about quality. You see this all the time regardless of occupation. But I'm sure fewer people do a half assed job when it comes to there hobbies on the weekend.
The policy that is handed down from the politicians has little to do with the capabilities and willingness of the soldiers them selves. I and many, if not all, of my fellow soldiers were angry when we we're not included in Iraq.
As a member of an allied military the thought of serving with Americans terrifies me. In Afghanistan we have had more soldiers killed by Americans than by Afghans. I've talked to an America Officer who said during a sand storm in Iraq his platoon spent the entire night shooting because they couldn't see what was in front of them. These kind of actions are inexcusable.
Just the opinion of myself and many other professional soldiers.
I'm in the infantry and if you have ever been there you'd agree that it sucks. My platoon commander is a sissy college boy who has no leadership potential, no guts, and no common sense. All career opportunities are given out to people at random. Therefore there is no incentive to work harder than other people. Its like being in a communist organisation. The new commander of the military(Canadian) is a WOG (without guts) and is getting rid of all the good jobs from the infantry (good job == recce, mortar, pioneer, anti-armour) so there are even less places to progress too.
Sorry to bitch so much but it helps to blow off some steam.
I maybe wrong but couldn't you get the client side keylogger to filter the info to find credit card numbers and only transmit those back?
