This old 'fat' mac doesn't have any DVD drive or video capabilities, nevertheless it can control a Pioneer DVD-V7400 via the serial port. Since I do a lot of DVDs for exhibition purposes it is helpful to test how various commands work with the discs I create.
I brought this Mac in as a conversation piece, but have since found it to be very useful.
According to this article: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2004/12/041219171930.htm the new signage typeface is apparently based on solid research which shows that drivers can read signs 20% faster.
Think of the possibilities if you make off with one of these. Power a railgun for all sorts of nefarious acts? Great SF theme!
