Then given that this approach is standardized, the intended error message "Invalid syntax error" sounds even much more dumber (sorry, I tried very hard to express it as dumb as it is) than before.
First, it's not invalid, since it's in RFC1738, and second, such an error message is a PRIME EXAMPLE of very stupid Windows error messages which usually don't tell ANYTHING. Another (hypothetical) example would be "Error -233629 occurred, please reinstall Windows":-)
Doh. I mean how many more reasons will there be for finally ditching Internet Exploder for good and using USEABLE and SECURE browsers instead??
The temp file stuff is a builtin function in Windows (GetTempFileName() or so), and if 65536 temp files have been created, then the 16bit temp file index number simply is overflown, so no go any more, it's as simple as that.
Having said that, even though it's not Acrobat's fault in this case, Acrobat Reader actually IS a quite bad piece of ****.
Hmm, I'm really wondering whether or not I've heard these key words before somewhere...
(to be fair, this particular article today does not do some fond playing with the word "innovation", though)

In other words it seems his actions can be summed up with: "the internet is evil, very evil."

I'm sure chkrootkit wouldn't even be supported on that platform, let alone...
Correction: he did mention "innovation" also. Several times even. If only I had realised that my browser search was not focused properly...
