All of these things are running Windoze CE, and I'm pretty sure that buying them without WinCE will prove to be a pain in the ass. Also, I'm not sure if they will work without WinCE.

Remember some guy writing a scary article making scary predictions how someone would stick a trojan into a program or a patch and then distribute it to others? Remember how most Slashdot readers responded by saying that it's more likely to happen in proprietory software, since noone but the developers sees the source? Here's proof.
I can't believe this actually happened. I'll bet 10 bucks that the people who made this decision have never seen a computer before the trial.
Altern provided free fast email (POP3/SMTP) until some spamming assholes took advantage of them. They didn't show any ads on the web pages, they didn't add anything to email messages. Their admin pages didn't have any ads either. In fact, there wasn't a single image on any admin page. To open an account, all that was required was a username and a password. They didn't get a single penny.. err centime out of hosting lamers like me.
Just more proof that the world is ruled by assholes and flaming morons.
being very bored, i once tried a simple test. i made a little html file with 10 layers of nested tables. netscape took about a minute to load it, and stopped at 7 layers. ie loaded it in a few seconds and loaded all 10 layers correctly. surprisingly, as far as i remember, opera performed quite well.
ironically, i also like ie better when reading slashdot, since netscape stubbornly forgets to save the place i leave a page at, so i keep having to scroll down. for everything else, netscape is better tho.
...this site gets my Style Sheets Stupidity award hands down. I had to disable them just so I could view the damn thing! The floating images prevented me from clicking on any links.
I sense a very mature and intelligent person. He must be very elite.
This reminds me of this one time some kid wondered why noone just "writes a proggie that will winnuke every ip from 0.0.0.0 to 255.255.255.255 and bring down the whole internet" I don't know why, it just does.

I'd rather shell out some cash for software that does work than have to deal with free software that doesn't. I'm not referring to any real-life examples, and I'm not trying to say that anything Microsoft makes is good (hell no!) I'm just pointing out that the at-least-you-didn't-have-to-pay-for-it excuse doesn't work in RL. Especially in large corporations. And large corporations is who you have to aim at if you want Linux to become popular, because it will cause them to bitch at the hardware manufacturers to write drivers, etc etc. Am I right?
...the person doesn't actually have to install the chip him/herself. There are people that will install it for another 20 bucks. My local video game rental people do it for 50 bucks including the MOD chip, which is still a bargain considering the money you'll save on the games.

I don't know what to think. "Another good company goes under" or "coders get fired after supplying pigs with sufficient amounts of cash."

I'm pretty sure it means peace.. :P
And yes, I'm aware of the language's grammar, I speak it fluently.

This may be a little off-topic, but I'd just like to point out that Mir is not an abbreviation. Translated from Russian, it simply means Peace.
