There is only one working plugin, and it is proprietary software. Call me zealot, but that sounds like a main thing holding flash back. If you need a clue, think accessibility with anything other than a windows/linux/mac computer.
There are already cell phones with hard drives for you music. No need for wireless streaming, that's just an option you don't have on an ipod.

Considering Windows gets OS upgrades much less frequently than most Linux distributions, this constraint was unfair. Even more so if the Linux upgrades may be acquired for free.
