  1. Wow! on Music Industry Develops Centralized File-Sharing System · · Score: 0

The RIAA has gotten smarter! This will cure piracy once and for all!

  2. Re:Perdido Street Station on Dread Empire's Fall: The Praxis · · Score: 0

The Khepri in China Mieville's stellar near-sf steampunk fantasy Perdido Street Station do not try to take over. It's an amazing book. Coincidence? I think not.;) The book, Ender's Game (and all the other books in the series have aliens who (once you've read to the end) are actually good. They're insectiod, and not evil. And I really liked the books in that series. Coincidence? I think not.

  3. School on Public BSOD Sightings? · · Score: 0

Not a BSOD, but still funny. After the power flickers on and off at my school, we have entire computer labs all simultaneously running scandisk. If you sit at the back, you can see which ones finish first, and which ones finish last. You take the ones that finish last, and check them for software installed by students, and defrag.

  4. Building a computer on New NVidia Graphics Cards Reviewed · · Score: 0, Redundant

Look pretty slick, I'm going to get one with my new computer (if I have enough money by then. Goddamn minimum wage job).

  5. That acronym sounds a familiar... on First Sony PSP Pictures Revealed · · Score: 1

Paint Shop Pro had the "PSP" acronym long before Play Station Portable did. I'm guessing a lawsuit like the WWF (World Wildlife Fund made the World Wrestling Federation become the WWE).

  6. My gut reaction was right. on MIT's Music Net Shut Down Over License Issues · · Score: 1

Back when I first heard about it, my immediate reaction was (and I quote, from a thread on another forum) "They underestimate the RIAA. They employ a lot of lawyers, they'll find a reason to sue them."

    My gut reaction was right.

And they're stupid for pissing off MIT students. It's a really bad idea. They have to be really smart to get in, and they'll take this personally.
