In the time that it took to write a reply about the laws of physics, five people saw this statement and posted corrections, without realizing that while they were typing, others were posting. I think that's a tribute to the immense number of Slashdot readers.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but both lasers are radio waves are electromagentic radiation--just different frequency and phasing--and both travel at the speed of light, c, 3.0E8 m/s.
