I maintain my financial records meticulously using Intuit Quicken. They issue annual "upgrades" that generally offer little new functionality, so I upgrade only every 3rd year or so.
This year I found that Intuit's Taxcut (slightly better UI in my experience) now REQUIRES you to upgrade to the latest 2004 version of Quicken for its most-automated data transfer functionality. Not even Quicken 2003 will work!
So I think it's time to drop Taxcut, and probably Quicken!
