I disagree, with the ability to see all the scars from surgeries and genital warts, it just means that the women who actually are attractive will rise to the top and get more work in higher quality videos. Those with botched implants and std's will become the miserable failures they were always destined to become:)
Because I love the dual shock controllers, i even use them on my pc when i re-buy the gta's on pc, at least for driving, on foot i use mouse+keyboard. I have ps2->xbox controller adapters now, and they're terrible. If the ones for the next gen consoles are better then that's always an option, although I really do hate that huge external power adapter. Obviously I'd have to take into consideration what other games were available for either system by that point, but by then I would hope developers would have time to push the limits of the systems, and if in fact PS3's graphics come out ahead, I'd rather just pay for the best looking system with the controllers I like most.
Kind of off-topic to this reply but in looking back on my recent console gaming, the most fun seems to be had with DDR and Guitar Hero, both games using gimmick controllers and requiring very little in the way of cpu power. I think Nintendo just might get back on top this time around.

I hopped on the HDTV bandwagon early 2001, so I've been waiting over 5 years for someone to give me HD movies at home. Also in that time I've bought two other hdtv's, so you could say I'm the exact technology sucker market that Sony is shooting for, especially since I also got Playstation 1 and 2 pretty soon after release. The reason I'm not buying a Playstation 3 (at least until i start seeing GTA4 screenshots) isn't the high price, its this retarded format war. They couldn't resolve their differences with hd-dvd, and I'll be damned if I'm going to start buying movies that I won't be able to play at anyone else's house in a year. As far as I'm concerned Sony screwed this all up well before E3 and the price announcement. Of course i feel the same way about the Xbox360:P
Why is that too bad? Telltale is great. I was a fan of the Bone comics and although I'm not really interested in the game itself, i do go to their website to read the sam and max comics, and look forward to games in the future. I wish more talented game creators would leave huge companies and start up small ones.
I've had several HDTV's since early 2001, and am constantly let down by the blurry scratchy hairy film prints i see in theatres. When star wars episode 1 was coming out George Lucas made a big deal about digital theatres being the new thing, and when episode 2 came out i had ONE theatre in the whole D.C. area that showed it, and it looked decent. Now its 2006 and there's TWO theatres, and they hardly ever actually show movies in a digital format, just wheel film projectors in to keep showing junk. I agree with everyone that people talking, sticky floors, and $9.50 prices (i've boycotted theatre refreshments since 1994 when i first started seeing commercials before the previews) are mainly what keep me away, but if some people would jump on the digital projection then i'd at least see some lame blockbuster movies that benefit from image quality in theatres.
