Login based torrents could work as a thought. However then you approach the issue of individuals bandwidth. I have restrictions on how much I can upload and download monthly. If I set a movie to download, and it is uploading at the same time, I'm not going to be pleased if I enter the overhead of my bandwidth and movies cost me more than the $8 a movie in bandwidth. There'd certainly need to be a lot of thought by someone more qualified than myself on the subject.
I've found that a lot of the popups and advertisements I see on the web are on information based sites without subscriptions. These are usually places where I go to find information and then leave. Though giving it some thought brings me to the conclusion that these ads are important, I don't want to be obstructed by them when browsing for a fact or information. When I watch TV, I don't have a choice with ads, on the station, so I change channels and hope I come back for the beginning of the show.
Im sure adding more menus will add some more filesize to the file, but from the way I understand it, the compression is somewhat better than before, so I can see them balancing out.
I've tried Stock ATI, Omega and DNA on my 9800Pro @XT Speeds, and my Mobility 9600 Pro. For HL2 with the DNA drivers I can honestly say I did notice a difference. It was enough for me to go from 1280x1024 2xAA 8xAF to 1280x1024 4xAA 16AF and keep a framerate above the 30 barrier. The omega drivers also gave a similar performence boost, but not quite as much.
Last year I was over at my grandparents for thanksgiving and of course I worked on their computer. Did their windows updates for them (sigh), installed spybot and adaware, then when it was all said and done, my mother suggested I fix their neighbours who was also having trouble. Since that day every time my family has called with computer trouble, whoever it may be, I tell them to either pay me or pay a professional. It's cold and harsh, but its time they understand that we can only take so much before we just don't enjoy it anymore.
Just curious as to how you found halo creative and innovative?
I think what it was...

was that it was something anyone could pick up and play, and culture whores needed something to grasp to. All my friends who arent really gamers, love Halo, but everyone who is a gamer, realizes how lifeless it is, and that holds true with the second.
I think the idea of demonstrating smaller ones and showing research to a government is good in theory, but then again, the governement isnt always interested in the benefit of the people.
I'm from Canada. I hate President Bush. I agreed with everything Moore was saying. First half of the movie was really informative and well done. He lost all focus midway through and struggled to find anything except bush bashing. Ive seen high school documentaries with better film making. A shame really, was hoping for something wonderful.

I want to shake the hand of the guy who forgot to license it properly.

From what I understand, just as overrated as the first, but even lest innovation. Just a simple FPS, but the best a console can offer I guess.
