...agreed unless it gets to the point where the predator is killing infants, which I think SCO is threatening. You kill the infants, and you'll never know what the adult could have produced.
The Mac WMP is broken, and known to be broken in several places. For one, its an old version, they never brought 9 to mac.
Another, kinda off-topic, rather annoying fact (while not really used in mp3/file playback) is that in streaming, it does not parse mms://url.com/file.wmv?authcode=afdkwj2294rjaflk24 raf correctly, effectively making it useless for our company's streams (which require an authcode to play). The mac version basically trashes everything after the ?.
The responsible thing for managers to do is look at the time cards each day. If an employee works 30 minutes later than they should have, the next day they should work 30 minutes less.
The wrong thing for the managers to do is to remove time from a time card because the employee actually did work, and should get paid for it.
While maybe not as relavent, 4 years ago, straight out of highschool I posted my resume on Monster also. Within 2 months I had an entry-level position job and was able to promote quickly.
So, at least in my experience, at least to find entry-level positions Monster.com worked for me. So if your new to the arena, perhaps it will work for you. I haven't looked for another job yet because I was able to secure a Senior level Network Admin job in the same company.
Statement from Microsoft Regarding Illegal Posting of Windows Source Code
Last updated: Feb. 18, 2004, 9:00 a.m. PST
REDMOND, Wash., Updated Feb. 18, 2004 -- On Thursday, February 12, Microsoft became aware that portions of the Microsoft Windows 2000 and Windows NT 4.0 source code were illegally made available on the Internet. Subsequent investigation has shown this was not the result of any breach of Microsoft's corporate network or internal security, nor is it related to Microsoft's Shared Source Initiative or its Government Security Program, which enable our customers and partners, as well as governments, to legally access Microsoft source code. Microsoft reaffirms its support for both the Shared Source Initiative and the Government Security Program.
Now heres the thought-provoking question of the day:
If the leak was not caused by a network security breach, a physical security breach, a troubled-employee, or it's code sharing initiatives; how the hell was the code leaked? They said it wasnt network security, and it wasnt internal security (which takes away a physical security breach or a troubled employee), and it wasnt't its code sharing initiatives... Makes you wonder... how the hell did the code get out?
Isnt there something very similiar to this thats F/OSS?
