I got my and set it up as a fresh install and still have the proximity sensor issue. So the theory about it only happening when you "restore from backup" is not true.
I didn't see anything in the article that = news. OS X has always been vulnerable, since no OS is safe. Accept that one that is never turned on and used.
don't know if a third party monitor will work with an Apple-approved video card; this is probably something to ask your local Apple dealer.
If said 3rd party monitor has a standard VGA or DVI connector then it will work. This is just another one of many misconceptions about apple products. Same goes for any keyboard and mouse. Plug it in and it will work *Disclaimer: If you have some mutil-button/multi-function keyboard or mouse their may not be a driver that will work with apple.
But any Standard monitor/keyboard/mouse will work.
When VoIP is deployed on a network that is properly configured with QoS and you have adequate bandwidth, voice quality is not an issue. When it is done right you can get voice, video and data all on the same circuit without any loss of quality. I manage 6500+ IP phones in locations in a half-dozen states and everything work just fine.
It all comes down to making sure you have the bandwidth and QoS, which is something that would won't find on your average home cable or DSL connection.
I would also have to say that the 'perceived' cost is also a downside. The average user will see a dell/gateway ads for a $499 box then then see the $1299 cost for a new iMac and always go for the cheaper one.
Too bad spymac has a slow interface and last time I used it, it was down more them it was up. I paid the extra $$$ to get the 3GB version which includes IMAP. When I tried to use IMAP the amateurs at Spymac create a Inbox with the Sent, Drafts and Spam folder in the Inbox. How stupid is that?
If they can't get spammers to stop sending spam, what makes them think they will put a 'SEXUALLY-EXPLICIT:' moniker in the subject line? This makes no sense at all.

please move along.

It is pretty easy to get the edu discount on apple.com. Just pick a school and take the discount. No verification is required.

There are ads on /. ? I have pretty much forgotten about ads since I installed PithHelmet. I highly recommend it.

But what if you are calling another Vonage user? There should be no telephone exchange involved.
