This is an absolutely incorrect statement.
Of all homes in the continental US (computer or not) only about 35% have some [greater than modem speed] acccess.
As someone in a rural area, its maddening to hear these blatantly wrong statements. Especially when large companies with 85% market penetration in a given city are still hawking thier crud to that same city.
Worse is that we have the technology to eliminate this divide but it will not happen for years.
