We had a discussion on the fines based on income and found too many issues. 1. Possible cruel and unusual punishment. 200K for a speeding fine, come on. 2. Too much potential for abuse. Imagine doughnut (mmm, forbidden doughnut) eating cop letting junkers go by at 50 in a 25, then pulling over a ferrari enzo going 27 in a 25 knowing he'll get a major fine.
Conclusion: Stupid law that has no business being a law.
