I recall visiting a public library near Woodstock NY, in September of 2004. The person who was giving me a ride to the bank wanted to use the internet...
While I was there, I browsed the stacks and found a copy of 'The Autobiography of Mark Twain'. I haven't read many of his works, but I consider myself to be a fan of his work and literary style. I didn't know he'd written an autobiography, and so I skimmed through it. I remember a short passage in the midst of the book that I flipped to was a remark about writing an autobiography, where he said that it is best to not bother with chronological order and instead tell the story in anecdotes as it comes to mind.
As much as this sounds impossible now, it also seems strangely appropriate for Mark Twain.
Now that this has been demonstrated, I'd like to ask for generous funding and unlimited access for doing studies to demonstrate the effects of good vibrations on hardware.
I am currently hoping to see research on the long term effects of hanging prayer flags in data centers. My hypothesis is that if they would make for nice photos and surveillance videos, and would have a net improvement on the MTBF of hardware and personnel.
The slashdot article mentions Nitrous Oxide (N20 aka Dinitrogen Monoxide), but the original article talks about Nitric Oxide (NO = Nitrogen Monoxide). The wikipedia page says that the two should not be confused. The former is an anesthetic, the latter is a "toxic air pollutant".
Alas, this means that huffing whippets before giving blood isn't going to make it stay fresh longer.
Logical failure - How can there be a back door - only they can use ?
If there's a way in - It becomes a target too - that's just how it works.
What about countries - like allies or enemies - or organized crime ?
It is a feature - Failure is not an option. - Is it disaster ?
Who can remember - questions about such under - the DMCA ? https://www.eff.org/is-it-ille...

In case anyone hasn't seen it, I think I'm the first to have a data center blessed by a Tibetan Buddhist Lama. http://picasaweb.google.com/nagardner/200709LamaSamtenBlessesTheInternets#
