You better believe MS marketing will put limits on the cheaper versions. It's kind of like how you had to buy the higher priced server versions for more than two processors / cores. (I haven't been keeping up, so I'm sure the limits have changed again.)
The Greens look to be turning into what the Democrats used to be before they imploded. They'll pick up steam until they get a leader who gets into bed with the government (Kernot/Evans) or start making deals (Lees) or starts looking like a nut-job (Stott-Despoja.)
Actually, the purpose is to make Steve Fielding, the Family (Fascist) First senator, happy enough to vote for Labour's economic agenda. His constituents want to protect the children.
Mr. Dawn French? I can see that going off the rails in so many cool ways. Actually, ISTR that the Doctor can 'try out' different looks after a regeneration. It could be fun to have an episode of different possibilities just to play with the audience.
Yep, I grabbed an old one of those from work to put around our phone line. We got a local radio station straight through the phone. It was great that you could get the cricket scores from the phone without making a call.
Yup, I forgot that one. It's Brian Harradine (sp?) all over again. Just another part of the FF/AOG/Hillsong fun and games. I wish they'd go back to rigging Australian Idol and leave Canberra alone.
I've said it before, "No representation without compensation," and big business can afford a lot of representation. In this case, I'm sure someone is looking to cash in but I think ideology is driving it. Either that or a politician is trying to look tough on the 'think of the children' issue of the week.
Child porn may just be the cover story. It's possible that some of these people are really looking to stop child porn. It's also possible that they are being paid to consult with a vendor who has a solution in search of a problem. It's also possible that they hate all porn and want to use child porn to get a foot in the door.
Heh, one of the best security add-ons I found for an Exchange Server was a Linux box with clamav and spamassassin acting as a mail relay. The Exchange box had the full suite of commercial AV, but we had trouble seeing if it worked or not.:)
Yes, he's Labour, but the ALP is more a party of religion[1] and unionism. It has a right wing component that is just as conservative as the official conservative parties, including the Liberals. The summary used a worthless label. The major political parties in Australia have conservative and liberal parts and both would be left-wing to Americans.
[1] There's some correlation between Irish-Catholic-Worker --> Labour and English-Protestant-Manager / Owner --> Liberal / National. Given that most people vote the same way their parents vote, it's something of a self-perpetuating system.
And if we don't elect 'politicians,' who would we elect? It's an entrenched system where anything short of revolution gets you the same 'best government money can buy' that you had before. What exactly are you advocating?
That and Conroy is too busy getting caught rigging Senate hearings over Treasury issues. My worry is he'll push this to get some cover from the other stuff-ups.

Make sure you seal the box. It's the key to keeping fan noise down.

Let's see; Lenny Henry, Rik Mayal, Simon Pegg...
Yes to Blink. He also wrote The Empty Child. Mummy...
Pretty much all of the really creepy episodes are his.

Cloning? You think IP law is bad now. Try cloning a super-model.

No, you're not thinking like a politician. He's gonna get the ISPs to pay a vendor and we know where that cost will go.

Bloody hell. This guy makes Richard Alston look competent.

Well, according to some, that is the whole of Australia.
View Fox News as a comedy / light entertainment channel and O'Reilly and Hannity as Jerry Springer wannabes and the thing is almost watchable.
Actually, to keep it on topic. If this is how he handles censoring one person, how does he plan to censor the whole Internet? Call everybody's boss?

Plus we illegally invaded Afghanistan and Iraq. The Americans need to punish us.
You mean in a 'they did it, it's too late to back out' way like the Defense muppet that bleated about Super Hornets but bought them anyway.
Yeah, harass Conroy. Does anyone have any idea if it worked with Alston or Coonan?
Well their efforts so far have been successful, in a Canberra kind of way.
And if we don't elect 'politicians,' who would we elect? It's an entrenched system where anything short of revolution gets you the same 'best government money can buy' that you had before. What exactly are you advocating?
You are correct. Australia doesn't have free speech, and never pretended otherwise.
