  1. (H.263) with MPEG 1 Layer III audio on Video Formats for non-Windows Users? · · Score: 1

I'd do (H.263) with MPEG 1 Layer III audio ;). Mac = QT Windows = Windows Media Player 8+ (I believe or maybe it was 9?) Linux = mplayer Newer Mac/Windows side should be able to play it with default applications. I can imagine most Linux distros also come with mplayer also.

Times up. Don't recall reading anything like this on slashdot but look at the picture of Safari that loads up on the link I gave... feed://slashdot.org/index.rss :)

Slightly off-topic. When browsing the apple's tiger preview section and checking out it's features I clicked on Safari RSS and guess what? http://www.apple.com/macosx/tiger/safari.html First person to to guess right gets...ahh...hmmm..a cookie?

Me, you and now the BBC :D lol...not to mention my group of friends that hear about it when they decide to talk about the Matrix ;).

see loads of abuse potential here... While AOL might be smart enough not to block sites like microsoft.com or ebay.com if they showed up in a spam, it could be a knock-out blow to relatively small and medium (and hence little known) companies on the web.
Yeah, definitely. It would be great if anyone a better anti-spam protocal was adopted by all companies. Hell, I'd even be happy with M$s idea (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/3324883.stm ).

I contacted them with my psychic powers ;):D lol...

I'd watch it, subed or dubed :). Anyone see the Final Fantasy VII Advent Children trailer?( http://www.square-enix.co.jp/dvd/ff7ac/)
The Wachowski brothers were very much anime-motivated in that movie...
Yep, but no one in the mass media seem to coment on this. I'm so sick of hearing "Matrix inspired" or "Matrix like", I know the Matrix pulled out some great effects but a good portion of them were seen on Anime before it!
No other anime is better than Big O. Simply for the fact of the intro.
I'm not that much of a fan of the intro, kind of chessy IMO ;). Bebop has a great into though, but terribly overplayed (the series).

BTW, Thank you for encouraging everyone else to adopt the newest techology as soon as it hits the streets. _Someone_ has to beta test the hardware after all...
So true. Granted, if I had the money I'd be updating every few months but I don't. My current system: Athlon 1600, 512 MB RAM, CD-R/RW (Anyone remember when they just sold stand alone CD-R drivers? lol), DVD-ROM,40 GB HD (Seems small compared today's standards), and GeForce2 video/sound. Last system before that: 266MHz PII with MMX, 128 MB RAM, CD-R/RW, DVD-ROM, 5 GB HD (!), Ati Rage Fury Pro and floopy drive ;). That system lasted me a good 5 years. I'll be ready to jump on the 64-bit train later this year, when the hardware is common place :).
