Aye, it looks like a lot of the "useful new" features offered by EIO are already available in OpenOffice, such as suggest-as-you-type. I think the big clincher for me would be how it interprets MS-Word shapes and drawings, as that's the only problem I've ever had with OpenOffice.
Well, just try using lmsensors on an IBM X-series server. You can't. All the temperature sensing data is behind a proprietary "Integrated Service Manegement Processor" that you can't get through without IBM's huge/bloated java "Director" software.
