    Well, OK, not passwords, but I do get plenty of happy birthday cards. With those and the rest of the junk mail, I'm pretty sure the postman knows more about me than the people I would consider close.

    Exactly. The junk mail that's in my mailbox every day has more detailed information on the outside of the envelope. This is really a non-issue.

    The major difference is that all the applications Apple bundles can be easily uninstalled/deleted without having any impact on the OS. If I don't like Safari.app, I can install Camino or any other browser, delete Safari and live happlily ever after. On Windows, I can use alternate browsers, BUT I can't delete IE without crippling the OS.

    I have case-sensitive enabled on my root volume and have never really encountered any problems with it. I have to occasionally edit poorly written dashboard apps to correct Images/images inconsistencies, but that's about it.

    Those little plastic, mylar bags (the kind that static sensitive equipment come in) work amazingly well.
