are you suggesting that one must be competent to be a computer professional?
in my other post i pointed out that i do both firefighting and computer work, and honestly the firefighting/ems/rescue work requires a presence of mind and ability to problem solve under extreme conditions which does not compare with the database and network 'management' and user-sitting that is required of me at the office where i work. but it's worth noting that i earn the same at the end of the pay period at either job, while i work about half as much at the office.
you're kidding yourself if you think a body's a body doesn't apply to this field, we just think it does because we're overpayed.
