I've got news for you, your HD probably does 40Mbit if you're lucky, so HTF are you gonna fill a 1000Mbit pipe? 100Mbit switched is more than enough for even the largest files on a household network. Where are you gonna keep 1000Mbit of data every second? RAM? I hope you've got a terabyte of it and one serious kernel patch to support it on i386.
Unless your transfering data from RAM on PC1 to RAM on PC2, you'll never see full utilization; your disk IO will never keep up.

It's only a matter of time until KDE implements this feature in kmail to automate the process... that is unless, you've changed your mind about Linux being for the masses.
Uh, if you log into linux as root and run email attachments, you'll get a virus too (assuming its a linix binary/script). Y'see, windows does have filesystem ACLs. Windows mentality is what needs to change. Logging in as Administrator is the equivalent of logging in as root, and we all know running stuff as root is bad.
Now, if they ported OS X to i386 arch, they'd have 10 fold the developers and 100 fold the customers... but their probably too caught up in ideals to think of that. Face it Apple, i386 won.
Power over IP would prevent blackouts like this from happening in the future. The internet is the solution to everything... even power.

I'd have to agree with the other responses; that post was pretty lame.
