Why do people always get so worked up over issues like this? We do live in America, where economics will "usually" dictate the correct price. Even though some might argue, you will NOT die from lack of music.
Just think of how much money you spend on things that are ephemeral, like your morning coffee, your cable subscription, or all those lap dances at the local nudie bar. Music you pay for (or don't) will last "virtually" forever. I still have CDs that I bought in high school, back when it was cool to pay for music.
I know it sucks to pay for stuff, but someday, when you create something worthwhile, you'll understand.
Note to self: Create something worthwhile so I know what I'm talking about.
