"all newfangled technology comes with an 'off' switch"
Can we all agree to stop using the hokey term "newfangled"?. The writers in my local newspaper use it all the time whenever they are talking about some new technology. I think they are trying to convey some naive, just came down from the farm type of mentality. But on Slashdot do writers really need to be so "aw-shucks ain't it amazing" about technology?
Besides, is there such a thing as old-fangled technology?
