You can do a course called Computer systems engineering where i am (and im doing it). you do assembly for a couple of different PIC's C, java and little bits of other langages now and then. Best of all worlds
Basic was what i learnt first. granted the results don't look nice but it's an easy "jumping in piont" i hear what poeple say about it being good to tach structure i.e. by making poeple use java but personlly I'd rather saw though my leg than use java more than i have to. The whole html thing isn't a idea ethier i suppose alough the knowledge gained will only be so much use in the next langage learnt

That may be the case in america but in england petrol costs an absolute fortune. I have a shitty 1.3 escort and it's the best bit of 40 to fill the tank up (40 = $70 give or take)
some of our accomadation started to block the ports used by the more common p2p cleints just because they didn' have the band width for us all to use it. bastards. ne way, so long as it was a smaller network (i.e. not kazaa or one or two others) it didnt seem to attracht attension
