I do work @ a college IT department. Some professors have no clue what they are doing. Some of the professors try to tell me how to do my job, but in fact they are completely wrong! Just think of this you are not going to quit your IT job just to go teach for 50k a year while you can make 80k. This is the main issue why colleges can't get good IT professors. They don't pay enough.

  2. Business Like Always on Comcast Fires TechTV Staff · · Score: 1

Well look at from this point. Remember when Comcast big dawgs cooked the books. They must of felt that they have to cut costs and make more $$$. Liquidation is the main point here. Comcast felt that they should buy up TechTV and sell it off(Liquidation). Thus, cutting down the problems with the "other" business from personally killing off their crapy channel of G4. G4 is totally junk. TechTV provides information about computers and games. G4 just does games. I don't understand Comasts move here by getting rid of TechTV. They should of Liquidated G4. Next, G4 is not offered to everyone unlike TechTV. Most people I know have never heard of G4. Comcast should of at least kept the name.

This is a very bad business move by Comcast. A major overhaul of G4 will be needed for them to attain the same profit as TechTV.
