a) a buffer owerflow on a PPC is not executable, exploiting it therefore MUCH more difficult b) by default most system services are inaccessible from outside (firewalled or simply not running) c) the complete core OSX (Darwin) is open sourced d) the amount of work for fixing a bug and publishing the fix is the same, whether there are 10 or 10000 systems affected
