Whenever you pose a problem, follow it up with a solution. That way it doesn't sound like you're complaining. Having solutions shows you actually care about your job and the company. Then you just need the go ahead to fix the problems.
I second nagios. We use it at work to monitor around 700 hosts and all of their services. Just don't have one machine monitor more then a few hundred hosts, it tends to get a bit behind at time.
I have Evolution 1.0.7 running on my Gentoo box for about 14 hours staight each day. I've don't remember having any problems with it crashing since I updated to this version. It could be your config files. Mine were copied over from an older installation an another computer.
Other then email, I don't really use evolutions features. They were something that I thought I would try out in the beginning, but they aren't something that's very usefull to me at this time.
Mandrake 8.1 was extreamly easy to install. When my laptop arrived, I set my father up an account on it. I also left the install CD in the drive with that drive set to boot. My father, wanting to see what linux was all about, turned my computer on and ended up reinstalling the entire thing not knowing what he was doing.
Well, people are supposed to get a license before they can drive. Why can't they get a license before they can use a computer. Make the adverage (stupid) user take a class for a couple of months before they can use or purchase one. Of course there are stupid people with drivers licenses. But when a licensed person does something stupid, their license can be revoked. So, it's not a perfect solution. I can just imagine someone trying to purchase a computer without a computer license. "Sorry, but you need to renew your license before you can purchase this new neato item." What was this about? Oh yeah... Have people learn before they use. Not the other way around.
Wow, those circus midgets must be hard at work. Where do you get circus midgets? When I log in, they custom craft the pages for me. Not anyone else, but ME. I am SPECIAL now.
I find these achievements far more interesting then the karma system.
Eventually could we filter posts based on the achievements of the poster?
How about batteries?

Now that's an easy install!
