They make a software that blocks access (takes your freedom away from you) and since it doesnt just block kids from the dangerous porn it's blocking your way to information.
All code is ment to be broken. They write a code and someone breaks it. They have NO right in saying that their code has more right than the code you wrote to break theirs.
People should SUE Mattel for inprisoning Internet users.
Ofcourse the person who installed this software isn't any better but still I would say that Mattel is responsable.
Well, enough crap for me today... have a nice one:)
Since I am a Linux user in a small country I had to live with that fact that the documentation is not going to be translated for everyone.
Linux is free and therefore I think that you, who use it should know english and read the documentation in english.
Ofcourse if you find someone who wants to translate the docs for you. It's ok but why should the distributors spend valuable time writing docs for user who cant read english. This time could be used, coding better OS.
I live in Iceland and therefore I have to be able to read english. Ofcourse I would rather like to read the linux docs in my own language but thats not an option.
Many newspapers and computer magazines have been publishing a linux tutorial in all kinds og languages. Read them and then read the faqs and howtos.
I never used Hotmail because i didnt like the thought of Bill Gates running through my email (not like he could find the time though).
People should use pop3 with pgp installed. Besides who likes to by owned by Microsoft anyway.
When people subscribe to free email the service provider isnt obligated to do anything. He could sell your email address to some advertiser although he says he wont (who's gonna know anyway?).
I belive free email services are a problem on the Internet and the source of many spam emails people receive.
You cant copyright three letters. Like somebody would own "AT Computers" and AT is their brandname.
I on the other hand am going to sell sleasy burgers called FreeFat.
OpenSSH is not Open SSH. SSH stands for secure shell, okay he made it and used the name but please... Technically OpenBSD isnt using their name.
My thoughts, feel free to disagree but my thoughts still...
Someone buying a domain with the name of a registered trademark is a nasty business.
:)
Ofcourse it's understandable if you want to have a help site for cocaine drug addicts but I can't see ANY page on coke.ch at all.
This just points to the this guy is a domain squatter and then Coca-Cola inc. should have this domain.
I think registered trademark only goes if the page is in the same GENRE as the Coca-Cola.
How can they own a dictonary word? They cant!
Anyhow... coke.sh is bought buy some domain service but not by Coca-Cola inc.
Let the sharks take care of it

I have never had problem with Viruses on my Windows machine because I know what shit I'm loading into it.
When i started using linux it wasn't any different. I dont install anything on my system unless i know it's clean.
Then to top it... for a virus to "live" on a Linux/UNIX system i dont think that being a normal user would be enough.
I am not worried. Not worried at all.
