Doesn't Saddam, via his "Presidential Palaces" and fleets of Mercedes and weapons programs, have more toys than even the US's own BillG? Howdy. I'm A GREEDY SCUMBAG EVIL PIG FASCIST. I really don't give two shits about Playstation. Playstation is merely one of dozens of ways Sony Corp has at its disposal to separate people from their money and time. I'm not "deeply harmed" by their attempt to hoard their IP; I'm thoroughly unmoved.
But having said that, and not having read the particulars of the case, I support Connectix in this if all they've done is reverse-engineer the thing. That's surely not the same thing as out-and-out theft of IP.

Because, when last I checked, the x11amp people have streaming audio (which is the topic here) so far down the todo list that it has to leap on a pogo stick to touch bottom. Streaming.m3u (used by WCSB and WCLV) files via mpg123 has been hit-and-miss for me (v0.59o and v0.59k - haven't tried v0.59p yet...). I would really love for this sort of stuff to work, since it promises to be far more open than RealAudio, which - as someone has pointed out here - doesn't have clients for Alpha and PPC Linux (et mucho alia, I'll bet). Hell, Real doesn't even have the G2 Player ported to x86 Linux yet, AFAIK (RSN... RSN... we promise... RSN... RSN... don't call us, we'll call you...).
Heck with this, I want to make a buck off my code thank you. What I want to see is Open Law - free legal representation. Open Medicine - free health care. Open Farm - free food. Open TV - free cable without adverts. Open Movie - free movies without previews [let's start with Star Wars!]

What's the URL for the list of sites?
