    You want to leave the car as original as possible, but that's not a legality.

    They also sell complete stereos that go in the trunk, so you can leave the dash original.

    The loudness war started in the 1960s. But was constrained by crappy vinyl.

    The first CDs were absolute shit. They failed to remaster them, just burned the pre distorted vinyl masters. Which sounded very tinny when played back without vinyl distortion.

    'Neuroticism' != 'Neurotic'

    Neuroticism is one of the 'big five' behavioral traits, It is well studied, but perhaps no very well named. Women DO score higher.

    'Neurosis' are psychological conditions that leave people functional, as opposed to 'psychosis'.

    I don't think so. They 'took the case', they are contractually bound to defend it. Even after their client is bankrupt, the counterparty (IBM) can make them continue to bleed procedurally.

    What? The UK is unique. Being factual is _not_ a defense against libel in the UK. All they have to prove is you were 'being mean to them'. The Chiropractors won a fairly famous case based on that.

    SCO's lawyers took the case, to the bitter end, for a chunk of SCO stock. The Nazgul are now slowly, publicly 'eating those lawyers livers', as a warning.

    They won't stop until they put that firm's partners into personal bankruptcy, and the shouldn't.

    SCO's attorneys took the case, to the bitter end, for a chunk of now worthless SCO stock.

    This is the Nazgul playing with those lawyers, like a cat playing with a 3/4 dead mouse. But every whack is that law firm bleeding 20+ shyster-hours (plus countless admin/paralegal hours).

    I bet it's fun.

    Your fault. Should have started them at 1 day a week work from home, not full freedom day one.

    Be _productive_ on home days for a year, get another day/week. Watch 'em, they'll sandbag at work work to 'turn in' from home.

    Peter principle is universal.

    Stay on the technical line. You will still be promoted to your level of incompetence, then stay there.

    But at least you won't be deliberately promoted outside your competence.

    In my experience, it's the Peter principle corollaries that really bite. Esp: 'When someone reaches their level of incompetence, at some level they know it. So surround themselves with other incompetents, to better hide.'
