I guess because I only use WindowShade and FruitMenu, but APE and its haxies has never crashed.. in fact - I have only seen the "crash" screen once.. the first time I turned on the computer when it was new. I could deal with not having FruitMenu.. but no way on WindowShade.. just do dang functional. When Apple brings it back.. I'll ditch the Haxie.
