Is there a profession that offers it's practitioners 'Glory'? The Knight Errant of old or a Dragoon who survived the "Charge of the Light Brigade" might have achieved glory - but these days it seems to be in short supply.
I learned two things in 4 years of Engineering:
1. You can't push on a rope.
2. Electronics run on smoke. If the smoke escapes, it won't work.
Someone subsequently pointed out that Rule #1 needed modification:
1. You can't push on a rope - unless it's frozen.
