Sadly, I think people looking for the New Jerusalemn in cyberspace are simply going to find more crystals and past-life experiences. The decline of a religious center in peoples' lives had been evident since the beginning of the Enlightenment, if not earlier. Cyberspace isn't going to change that.
Cyberspace, instead, is just one more marketplace. Capitalism grows and grows and grows. Can you say Amen?
