I play games on windows, and use it at work because I am not given a choice. I prefer any of the *nix over it any day of the week. I don't need my PC to ask me "Are you sure" every time I tell it to do something. I hate that it just does stuff without being told too. Windows is like a 15 year old kid. It knows everything about everything, and does what it damn well pleases. Some day it might grow up. I doubt I'll live to see that day.
I would like to see 1 time limits on all offices and 6 year long terms. 4 years is too short to get any real work done at higher offices, but more than one term in an office is why we see the career politicos we have now.
By 1 time limit, I mean that if you have been elected as the governor of a state, that's the last time you get to be governor period, in any state. You would still be able to run for other offices, but again, it's a one time deal.
Adding up all the licensing costs, it seems to me that you could have hired some one with sufficient OSS experience to manage the applications and servers for you for far less than your 'per seat' costs would have been. There is a great deal of community support, which is often far better than the support you pay for from commercial vendors. Aside from that, your company would be creating a job for someone who may not have one otherwise.
