  1. Re:The dreaded question on Linux Gains Lossless File System · · Score: 1

Actually there are many drivers out there that will let you read from ext2/ext3 filesystems on windows. I use Ext2fsd to read my linux partitions on my windows machine (dual boot) and it works great. (It would be nice though if there was a cross-platform FS (other then FAT) that would allow rw, without any hick-ups. The newest version of Ext2fsd 0.25 states it has read/write capabilities but I have yet to try it).

I remember getting and email about this from EFF about 2 months ago, (I think), right after the first bill they tried this with was shot down. I guess that Congress isn't there for the well-being of the public just the well-being of the those that have the money. Say goodbye to public domain.

You are correct that America did create the Internet. To be more specific DARPA in 1966 and developed his plan for ARPANET which became what we know as the Internet. But don't forget, it was a European, Tim Berners-Lee, and others, that created the protocol that became the World Wide Web (WWW). So in reality it does belong to the world. I do believe in the saying "if it ain't broke don't fix it", so things should be left as is, unless they get out of hand, like other things that shall remain nameless.
