Microsoft really does seem profits from IE. It see profits from its technologies (ActiveX,Windows Server, etc) and from people developing websites for IE using FrontPage. Those developers could care less about W3C standards, so as far as MS is concerned they have won the war for now.
There is no reason that MS needs to release a new version of IE anytime soon. Those who use it use it becuase they like it, or don't know any better and probably will always use it.
Yes, MS will have to convince those on the fence that they can deliver security updates quickly, but that is all they really need to do for now.
Firefox/Mozilla needs to keep doing what it is doing - produce a standard compliant browser with some nifty features and it will have its fans.
Is there a reason you would Run NetBSD rather then a flavor of Linux, or just the Mac Os?
Laptops usually (granted this is/. and much is not usual) are not running as firewalls, servers, ect.
What is the major benefit on running NetBSD?

No suggestion, but I would really enjoy hearing what you choose and how it works in the end.
Any idea on which distros will be shipping with 2.10? I'm guessing Fedora will be one of the first.
