That's why i just LOVE this "serious" link pointing to nasa.gov. They really should put some more stuff like that to help people get modded up on slashdot.
Books, records, software, cars, photo equipment, electronics -- all of them are mostly 20-40% cheaper even with applied VAT and customs.
And the less people earn, the more they get ripped off. Compare prices in western and eastern Europe. Then compare quality of the products. And people's income.

Sure, except that localized software is often *cheaper* than the english version. Mainly because you cannot sell it to other country afterwards.
