There are a hell of a lot of competnet mail administrators out there who are at the mercy of their less-than-competent ISP in regards to reverse DNS. From my experience, you'll be throwing out a hell of a lot of legitimate mail with an policy that's blind to this fact.
Actually, a lot of work has been done in this area. Go back and have a look the abortion debates from Roe v. Wade on. We have largely decided (academically, not legally) that rights all pretty much all revolve around the notion of personhood. Humans don't have rights, persons do. of course, defining exactly what a person is is pretty much up for grabs, but normally we end up with notions like ability to communicate, self-awareness, ability to reason, etc. So if E.T. were to pop on down in Times Square and he exibited the traits mentioned above, then he, theoretically, would be owed the same rights and you and me.
> Freedom - is the ability to be heard by people if you speak.
Where'd you get that definition of freedom?! Freedom is the right to do/say/think whatever you want provided you do not violate the harm principle (see J.S. Mill, On Liberty).
And the notion that past theorists, philosophers, etc. were given a wide audience with those who held opposing viewpoints is completely blind to history. The ability to espouse opposing viewpoints is more available now than it was in history.
In the US, *anything* illegal the police happen to stumble upon while executing a warrant is fair game. So, if OJ was the primary provider of Live Goat Porn, he'd be up a creek...
