One time pads are impossible to crack. Sure it's possible to crack hardware/software encryption algorithms but if this is true people will simply move back to the low tech one time pads.
Maybe the one time pad will be generated differently but the same concept.

Why not just use a cookie to do the same thing? Or even better, a floppy disk, cdrom, etc combined with the cookie.
