Yes Kozmo was just starting to turn in a profit in SF and NYC but it was too late to stop the bleeding. It actually had to do with managing their own people. In the begining they didnt limit overtime and had a COD option, so many employees were stealing videos and cash. I worked for them since they began in SF and could tell the product i was delivering wasnt even covering my salary for at least a year.
