    I'm pretty sure, that this is not a coding error.

    Neither the summary nor the article goes into details, both speak about code.
    However robots like that are usually "universal robots", they can do/weld everything that they can reach with their welding point.
    That means, an engineer/robot trainer, is training the robot by manually moving the welding tip to the
    spots where the robot has to weld.
    That is basically only a set of commands like: "move to there", "drop down welding tip", "weld now x seconds", "release tip" etc. If a place is not easy to reach, then it is a sequence of "move there" commands.
    It basically is just a 3D version of a pen plotter.

    The likelihood that indeed a "firmware" fault made the robot skip a trained spot to weld is extremely low.

    Never met a kid for which this worked.
    And for the scenario in question, being at school at 7:15, getting up at 6AM will only rarely work. Washing, getting dressed, breakfast, traveling to school etc ...

    Depending how far away the 8AM meeting is: no, I don#t show up with bleary eyes. But before 10AM I won't be much use for anything than repeating stuff out of my experience, my brain will not be creative at that time. Regardless when I went to bed and if I slept or not.

    10AM is fine, actually 9:30 is. Worst case I would come a day earlier and stay in a hotel nearby.

    They went into it:
    a) they wanted their own nuclear weapons
    b) they wanted their own nuclear propelled submarines
    c) they wanted to explore "fast breeders"
    d) they wanted to set up an export industry of nuclear power plant constructions

    d) is probably the biggest point.

    They expanded into nuclear power, but they already had a significant amount of plants before the oil crisis.

    Per capita, they produce 45% more CO2 than the European Union average.
    That is total CO2 and not CO2 produced in power plants.
    Guess what: the winters in Germany --- if we get one --- are still colder than the ones in Spain, South France, Romania, Greece ... you name it.

    Since they are phasing out their nuclear in the next few years (to be mostly replaced with fossil fuels),
    That is wrong.

    That's a mark of shame for a country that's supposed to be the leader of the EU.
    Who is supposing us to be the leader of the EU? Leader in what?

    You would then still have emissions like sooth and NOx.

    Ethanol could perhaps be a solution, but then again: you can use that in fuel cells, too.

    Having something that can be used in fuel cells is bottom line much more efficient than a simple combustion engine.

    Hardly a hype when Germans is the country, that has most drastically reduced its CO2 foot print.

  16. Lastly, consider the source of the Natural Gas the germans will be reforming to get their H2: Russia. Germany should be taking steps to reduce their dependancy on Putin, not financing his next adventure while falsely claiming to be saving the planet.
    It is legally not possible to cancel a 50 year old contract that is supposed to run another 50 years ...

    Waking the kid at 7:00 and dropping it half dead in school at 7:15 is probably no problem, if the parents manage to get out of bed early enough and the school is close buy. Probably best is, to put it completely dressed into bed, that saves time.

    But: what is a half dead kid supposed to do in school so early? Sleep another 2 hours before the classes start? I don't know a school that has enough sleeping room for early coming kids.

    Young kids also need sleep till minimum 7:30 ... sending them to school before 9:00 is simply torture.

    Interesting that people who get most of their work done before 9:00 are stupid to believe going to bed early would shift everyones performance as well.

    I don't sleep before 1:00 ... and usually not before 3:00.

    I don't know why. But it is pretty pointless to go to bed at 23:00 and can not sleep till 2:00 or 3:00 ... why can I not do something that I enjoy during that time, and you simply leave me alone with your "wisdom"?

    Turning H2 via fuel cells into electricity and running an elecfric engine is 4-5 times as efficient than burning it in an ICE.
