ANI is a generic industry term. To be more specific, the "holy grail" of spoofing is the Charge Number field (in the SS7 IAM), which Greyarea explains how to do here: http://www.dailyphreak.com/2005/12/25/spoofing-cha rge-number/
They're called packet switches and Verizon is migrating their TDM network to them. http://www.networkworld.com/edge/news/2002/0710ver izon.html
The real question is- will this service work with the Asterisk PBX? They say Yahoo VoIP is based on SIP, but is it open like FreeWorldDialup or closed like Vonage?
