- Hide patents (ie. don't make them public, but do allow people/groups to register them). - If a person/group tries to patent something, then, if it was already patented, the person/group is not allowed to use it (without permission / license from the originial patenter). - Everyone else who doesn't play the patent game is unaffected by patents.
It's like being in an MMO game that allows you to choose to play PvP or not. If you don't choose to, then others can't harras/kill you.;)
