/. must have you working overtime, blurring the days together.
"(We mentioned the reported ability to turn off IE8 yesterday as well.)" However, today is Friday and the "yesterday" in question was Wednesday.
It's okay, my friend, the days are often meaningless to me, too - I work the administrative side of IT.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a Linux-ite through and through, but this automatic bundling business is one of the huge anti-competitive issues with Microsoft. And again, don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to see Linux (in any flavour) being adopted more widely throughout the world, but isn't one of the basic principles of GNU/Linux/FOSS/etc freedom and choice? What if you don't want this feature on your motherboard? What if you want a different flavour of Linux? Yes, you're right, ASUStek is NOT a GNU company/organization. Yes, you're right, you CAN choose not to buy an ASUS board (just like you can choose not to buy a HP or Dell preloaded with Windows). But if bundling is wrong for one, how can it be right for another? Just because you don't have the majority of the consumer market, doesn't make the practice any more justifiable.
Wow... well this enfuriated me. I still don't understand why the Government is treating this any different than real-life situations. This, to me, is the same as the government banning access to public parks or playgrounds because sexual predators exist there, too. When will the government realize that these people exist in every corner of the world and we can't escape them... running from them isn't going to help any. Just like in a public park, a child's guardian(s) need(s) to be responsible and monitor their children. The internet is a continually evolving entity and predators of any sort are going to find a way to prey... banning access to stuff isn't going to help anything... and in fact, if this kind of government action continues, you can be damned sure that our internet access will be ruled and restricted just like China.
George Orwell was a profit... the world of "1984" is on it's way and you can be damned sure that I'll be a part of some sort of resistance movement.
Funny thing is, I just went to the home page and I see it greet me with my name. I'm like, "GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!"... then I notice the "How do we know your name?" underneath and click on it. Stupid me, I should have known that A9, being wholly owned by Amazon, would use Amazon session cookies to identify users.
Sometimes, I really amaze myself.

damn time that Sun goes Open Source. That's the way everything should be, imho. Unfortunately, though, this may lead to Sun going supernova - they barely hold their own on the proprietary market, and I doubt that they'll do any better on the Open Source market... if it can be called a "market" since there really is no exchange of money.
... could a programmer program if a programmer could program programs?

And since when is 45/125=.5?
36%, not 50%; quite a big difference. Sensationalist, indeed.
