Actually everything we do is in the future, because by the time you have thought it and acted the result is the future.
Also past and future are definitely concrete, present AKA now never exist becuase it is infinitely small in time. Thus we only have the past and future to cling to and live for, present is a pure abstract construct that acts as a go between from past to present.
You might just need that acid now..
Wow Oracle just palyed a real blinder, now they will make money out of the low end SQL database market. Effectively every sale MySql makes now benefits Oracle what a sweet f*cking move for them.. Also everyone supporting MySql also benefits Oracle in kind.. Lucky I switched over to Postgresql years ago, don't think I could stomach paying Oracle tax again:)
Actually M$ additions are aimed at being able to define sorting types and groupings, RSS as is just supports dates or temporal sorting (rss 2.0). I should add that rss1.0 has all sorts of extensions/modules which arent supported by V2.0 but v2 is more likely to win in the long run, particularly backed by DW.
A better argument might have been why didn't M$ use atom, which some refer to as rss3.0;) As this standard already does support the apparant needs M$ have stated. Perhaps the answer heres is that google likes it, DW doesn't and maybe it can't be Embraced and Extended. Then again M$ may have changed its spots and is now playing ball with everyone else;)
I was browsing Make which I followed to del.icio.us which showed this link First mac on intel in the wild?.
Can't see any details or links etc.., could be a fake of course, but figured someone of you here might be able to do a good analysis.
If you opened your eyes and actually looked into to it you would see the features that lead to the association of blogging and open source.
Think about group effects, trackback URL's, Everyone can contribute not to mention both free speach and free beer.
Well in the article cringley talks about usb devices having write protection (unless enable viw M$ new licensing). I have a big issue with that. What about printers!! surely these are writable devices, or are they expecting everybody to buy a new usb printer. Oh but they ccould limit writing to just printer you say, well then my usb key will pretend to be a printer and I will print all my companies secret docs to it.
This whole idea is M$ FUD for a good analysis regarding locking usb key thobs etc.. refere to cryptogram july 15th (Bruce schneier), way will always be found to overcome such limitations to the would be data thief.

So you are saying that if M$ reduces pirating in china, linux will become more popular. Thats very cool
