Maybe, just maybe, Microsoft paid that judge (as all the others) to get google site indexes so it can beat them on their field?
Or some other usefull information?
With all non-disclosure laws passed by the Bush administration, they would not get caugth...;)
since I always said time was a measurement of astral position (sun, moon, etc).
How could we travel in an invention of the human mind?
There are cycles that can me measured, evolution as said in the article...
But time isn't a dimension... only one of the human mind.
As said in the article.
You're pretty right...
I guess we actually give subvention to those "huuuuuge" companies from Hollywood here in Canada. You know? That kind of public funds helping private companies getting more money...? Tax refunds and stuff like that. They actually are giving my money to these guys. When a band comes here, like lets say U2 or Metallica, they often get those subvention...
I pay 10$ to see the movie at a cinema places, THEY should give me the DVD freely since I paid my right to see it. If I go see Metallica show somewhere, THEY should give me their latest CD. Anyways, 30$ for the DVD, 20$ for the CD is simply extorsion. If it was 5$ I don't say, but they are simply abusing. And the price of the media isn't that expensive. Why did titanic made nearly 1 billion $ in raw income? (www.imdb.org)
And WE don't have pretty much choice if WE like the full album. THEY whine because they make LESS money because THEY abuse our wallets.
Well, why not?
If only USA would send their money in China instead of crashing on mars or elsewhere...
Maybe AT LEAST everybody would be able to eat 1 meal a day.
Anyways, the wall is coming pretty fast but you can't see it.
Well, if my comment is stupid then you are a brainwashed capitalist...
I think they succeeded to their mission.
Now, they can ask my ISP my adress and bill me 10,000$ or so for a 20$ CD.
Well, I wouldn't have bought it in any cases. Maybe at 5$ but not 40$ because some greedy man wants to have a luxury car with a brand new yatch...
Anyways, I still think information should be free and also entertainment... Now, if you think this is stupid, I think it's because in some ways, you are.
I won't pay to hear Bush crap...:D
Those su*** shouldn't have that much power in their hands! They don't know how to use it so... Go ISP go! Anyways, cusotmers ARE giving them money... aren't they?
Music, information, entertainment should be free!
Because Software Licenses used by almost all companies says something like "You can't blame us if it's not working properly, crashes your system and loose everything... So how could I say "This group of person freely giving their time should be held responsible for such losses" ???
I think some people are dumber than dumb and dumber...
I think it's ok if some people write some application and give it freely. They say : "Don't use it if you don't know what you're doing and if you know what you're doing and still lose everything, you're mostly a dum* fu** if you're not making any backups".
Now if we talk about helding some group of person responsible of a software (p2p cases in mind) and want to sue the creators of open source software that encourage piracy, I would say to such bas**** that I wouldn't have bought the stu*** song and will not encourage those kind of industries. So if they want to sue me because I uploaded my stuff to other person who wouldn't have paid for such crappy records then I will simply fight against such oppression.
Now, if you tell me don't listen to that music if you're not paying for, that's another story. In all cases, I would simply not listen to it if downloading them would be really IMPOSSIBLE to do. I won't give my clean money to such dirty people.
And if you say something like "it's not because you can do it that you should do it" I will finaly answer this kind of stupid remarks that "it's not because americans invented the nuclear weapons that they should have used it".
It's not because you have money and power that you should use it.
On poor people.
Whatever, I can buy music CDs and I can afford to lose everything. But LEAVE THEIR FREEDOM TO PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT CAPITALISTS LIKE GEORGE W. BUSH!

Me not seeing link between human rights and (companies and people) being able to sue government.
People vote to elect a prime minister or president. They vote once in 4 years to give their right to vote for 4 years.
And government isn't misbehaving most part of the time. Look at any American BIG corporations and you'll see that human rights are forgotten by those. Even Amercian Government. And everybody knows that Amercian government is dictated by Bush or the "other" big corporations.
or an union of countries, there is a problem.
When those countries will learn to sue those monopolistic companies, WE the people will get something in return.
No shareholders should have so much power, and no CEOs should be able to sue countries.
In fact, this whole model is a pain in the ass. Give power back to the people! Not the companies (and their RICH share holders!)
The problem is the DMCA and copyright laws.
And congress Lobbying...
Not google nor Microsoft! The best proof Microsoft doesn't truely have a monopolistic status is that they fear the pengouin!
It's only a part of the proof. Don't forget they supoened 32 companies (or something like it) to prevent them from shredding some important papers...
If they can prove that intel is not a fair competitor, maybe Apple will go with AMD? (Or back with IBM and their "famous" cell processor").
pfff it's crapp... it detects c:\windows\system32\iexplore.exe as being a trojan horse... in fact I copied the servicepack files c:\windows\servicepackfiles\iexplore.exe in that location so I can click "programs/run/iexplore" instead of clicking... I guess it's only looking for that file name in that directory and randomly selects a trojan horse name...:) Also, it detects my serv-u ftp server as a trojan... ohhh! And VNC... I still think the number of detected infection is not really important as long as I DO NOT get false alarms and that the softwar in question is doing it's job and not forcing me to reinstall Windows.
Do you know? The polar ice cap? Well, isn't it too small to be ALL the water? Underneath the surface? May I say: "Yeah right" ?

I'll rip your music.
Well, Wall-mart isn't a wall or something?

Well, you sure of that?
I think they passed some laws for that in USA. So I guess nobody cares about aids, health, environment, social goals in congress/government/whatever.

hate Micro$oft products?
That makes some more sense. I guess, shhhhhhhhhhhh, is a cristal clear sound ... Is his car dolby enabled with some ambient noise cancellation device?
It makes sense... I guess.

Big corporations need to pay for THEIR mistakes. Not THEIR customers.
LOL

Isn't it a fractal? Interest receivers is the common point.
We are doomed! Money will prevail... and it's slave will succomb...
Well, slashdot could mirror the slashdoted sites before slashdoting them? Couldn't they do that?

Wouldn't it be more usefull to have dual sided CD rom burning writers? Like those DVDs? It could get to 1.4gb instead of 700mb... :)
