First: Ease of Use, people will always like products that are easy to use, I figured out how to operate an iPod on the Spot. No manual, I didn't even have to think about it.
Second: Reliability, iPods are very reliable gadgest that don't crash as much as PDA, maybe that is because they do one thing as compared to a PDA.
Third:Choice, when buying a iPod, I'm buying into a world of accessories that are just not there right now in the PDA market. Try to get a non-vendor compliant headphone to work with your PDA... it won't work because the vendors won't let you.
Fourth:iPods are Cool man.
Five:The total music experience is very simple, you go to iTunes, you download and you're rocking 5 minutes later. Try copying your music library to your PocketPC or PDA, better yet, Try doing it in less than one day. Good luck trying to do that.
And finally, although there are many more reasons for iPod's dominance, the one thing that stands out is the company's innovative mindset. I'm not just talking industrial design, I'm talking the whole thing... Apple products just keep getting better.

I love iPods and I must say that Steve Jobs Guy is a marketing genius. He manages to market something called the iPod Suffle as something new and people go crazy over this amazing breakthrough.
I had a creative Nomad Movo for 2 years now and it does everything this so called suffle does 2 years ago a lot cheaper.
The iPod is winning the Music Player Market on cool design alone, nothing else.
Will creative win the Music Player Market, you bet. When, I don't know, all I know is that people will not continue to buy products that are yesterday news at very steep prices for long. the truth will come out.
If you wanna see the truth, do a comparison between creative Zen and Apple iPod. And please, be objective. Creative offers more capacity, longer battery life, better support and a cheaper price tag.

I for one have been waiting for a long time for google to index my desktop. This is a feature that will give google a clear advantage over Yahoo and any other search engine.
If you are afraid of your files being compromized, then this product is definitly not for you or your files are stored in the wrong locations.
