Contributions from Sun to FOSS: NFS, RPC, TCL, Java (debatable), etc. Also some others that didn't make it. How many Linux users got their first distro from a SunSITE? Guess who supports those servers (hint: not IBM). Sun is among those companies that at least occasionally try out the "don't be evil" mantra. They say they will open source Solaris in some fashion. When IBM open sources AIX or SGI opens up IRIX, let me know. Not to bang on IBM, of course: they are just the largest.
