What the hell are you talking about? VB.NET has nothing to do with VC++. Neither C# or VB.NET compiles to object code which can be executed directly by the target computer.
You should really read up on what youre talking about before posting... And that goes for those who gave you points as well.
You know... This is configurable in GNOME. You could change so that no images are displayed in the menubar or so that only images are visible in the menubar.
